Day Pass Price: 200,000 VND Location: Gym One – District 3, Ho Chi Minh City Setup: Two floors of equipment Opening Hours: From 6:00 AM weekdays and 8AM weekends (at time of review)
First Impressions at Gym One: Ho Chi Minh City Gym Review (District 3)
Gym One makes a strong first impression. It’s large, modern, and clean, spread across two levels with plenty of machines and designated training areas. At reception, staff were friendly and welcoming, providing both a gym towel and locker key on entry. While English was limited, the check-in process was smooth and pleasant.
However, the day pass cost of 200,000 VND is on the higher side for Vietnam, putting Gym One in the “premium” category.
The Space
The gym is spread across two floors:
Ground floor – free weights, machines, squat rack, deadlift platform and resistance training.
Second floor – lower weighted machines, smith-machine, cardio, functional training, and group fitness spaces.
Highlights include a dedicated yoga studio, Muay Thai boxing ring, and a functional training zone. The layout is open and bright, but the air conditioning struggled to keep the space cool and temperatures felt warm once training began.
The gym is spotless but notably lacked cleaning spray or wipes for members to sanitise equipment after use.
Equipment
Although the machines look new and are all custom-branded to the gym, performance was disappointing. Movements felt clunky and awkward, making it hard to settle into a natural workout rhythm. For serious lifters, this was frustrating.

Bathrooms & Facilities

This is where Gym One truly shines.
Bathrooms: Excellent quality with toilets, showers, basins, lockers, and steam and sauna rooms.
Setup: Men’s facilities located downstairs, women’s upstairs.
Extras: Towel and locker service included in the day pass.
There’s also an on-site café, although stock was limited (no coffee available during the visit — only bottled water). For your energy boost, Red Bull must be purchased from a nearby street stall just outside the gym.
Personal Experience
I trained at Gym One at 8am on a weekday. The gym floor was quiet with just six other people training, though the upstairs yoga class was completely full.
While I liked the layout, I left the session feeling underwhelmed. The equipment felt awkward and clunky, which made it difficult to hit the intensity I wanted. Add in the warm air-con setting, and no cleaning equipment to wipe off the sweat, it just didn’t live up to the gym environment I was hoping for, and for that price!
Would I Recommend Gym One, Ho Chi Minh City Gym Review (District 3)?
If you’re looking for a modern gym with towel service, great bathrooms, and plenty of machines then Gym One : Ho Chi Minh City Gym Review (District 3) is a solid choice.
But for serious lifters or those chasing smooth, high-quality equipment, this isn’t the place. And the 200,000 VND price tag is steep for a gym that looks better than it performs.
👉 Recommended for casuals, cardio users, or hotel guests nearby. Not recommended for hardcore training sessions.
